Odiot

Purveyor to the Court of Emperor Napoleon

Odiot, a firm of silversmiths dating from 1690, has produced exceptional examples of French decorative art down through the centuries. Odiot has received numerous prestigious orders from the world’s major figures, such as the Emperor Napoleon and his family - including his sceptre and sword.

Impressive craftsmanship has dominated the work of Odiot for more than 300 years. Even today, Odiot’s silversmiths still seek daily inspiration in the firm’s unique collection of technical drawings, some dating from the 18th century. Their tools, including anvils, polishing brushes and pincers, have remained unchanged since the time of Louis XV.

Odiot’s craftsmen work exclusively with unadulterated precious metals: pure silver, gold and bronze. Their cutlery is made from 925/1000 pure silver, while 950/1000 pure silver is used for all other handcrafted items, as indicated by the “Minerve du Service Français de la Garantie” hallmark. Every object made by Odiot (some of which demand more than 100 hours of work) also bears the emblem of the master silversmith, which is regarded throughout the world as an indisputable guarantee of quality.
